The route through Uganda

Route: entered from Busia (Kenya), going West to Queen Elizabeth National Park then South, exiting the country in Gatuna Border Post to Rwanda

Kilometers cycled in the country: 796 km

Visa: East Africa Tourist Visa (we got it at at the airport in Nairobi), valid for Kenya-Rwanda-Uganda, multiple entry, valid 3 months, 100$

Dates: 17 days (5th of April to 1st of May 2018)

What we liked: diverse landscape, being allowed to cycle the Queen Elizabeth National Park, the food that is everywhere and cheap

What was challenging: the road always up and down despite no mountains, the group of guys laughing at you on the side of the road, not being able to sleep in people’s garden because of their fear of being responsible for our safety
